Why haven’t we seen large-scale revival
in Britain for 100 years?

100 years ago. there was revival in Wales, but we have seen only small outbreaks of revival in Britain since, and none since the 1950's. Do you wonder why this country has not seen a major revival for 100 years? I can give you the answer in eight sentences.

1. Because of liberalism in the churches: most Christians don’t believe the Bible.

2. Because of worldliness in the churches: most Christians don’t believe in holiness and separation.

3. Because of prayerlessness in the churches: most Christians don’t believe in the power of prayer.

4. Because of universalism in the churches: most Christians don’t believe in hell.

5. Because of complacency in the churches: most Christians don’t believe they need reviving.

6. Because of unwillingness to accept responsibility in the churches: most Christians don’t believe the state of the country is their fault.

7. Because of faithlessness in the churches: most Christians don’t believe they can pray down revival.

8. Because of laziness in the churches: most Christians won’t pay the price of revival.

The tragedy is that the longer we go on without revival, the worse the Church becomes, the worse the nation becomes, and the more difficult it becomes to pray down revival.

So act now. Be part of the solution, not the problem. From today, from this moment, pray for revival. Pray with others who feel the same way. Get in touch with The Interceders: contact us by e-mail
